BJ's B-DAY!!!

BJ's B-day was on Saturday and he turned 27. I asked him what he wanted for his birthday and he said all I want is for you to go to the game with me. So thanks to Grandma McGlone who watched the girls for us I went to the game. I had a good time it is the only BYU game I have gotten to go to all year. Later that night we went to Ruby River BJ's choice of course.
The picture is of BJ being one of the girls. He is very outnumbered at our house being 3 to 1. He is always asking me I wonder if the girls are going to like sports like me or will they be all girls and not want anything to do with it. All of us girls love our Dad and want him to know he is #1 in our book. BJ is always tring so hard to provide for our family and working extra hours trying to make up for the loss of my paycheck. You are a stud BJ and I LOVE YOU!!!!

Two weekends ago BJ's sister graduated from nursing school. His brother Justin came down from Montana for the occasion. We went to dinner at Olive Garden after graduation on Friday and then came Saturday. I was so excited for Saturday. We had BBQ and then we carved pumpkins. Then was the best part we dressed up all of the little kids and went to Gardner Village and went on a scavenger hunt. They decorate Gardner Village in Witch attire and they sell all kinds of stuff to dress up as witches. Grandma Olsen bought us carmel apples which I love and have taught McKell to love. I was feeling quite adventurous and made Carmel Popcorn Balls and gave the little kids trick or treat bags. We don't usually get to celebrate Halloween as an entire family (Justin living in Montana). I love the fall season and had so much fun making treats and celebrating.

Last wednesday I made 75 carmel apples with my dad. He made them with Kathryn last year and they were not planning on making them again. I loving carmel apples as I do convinced him to make them again. I am planning on attempting to make rolls tomorrow with my sister Brindy. I don't bake very well and so I am going to her house for some help, I'll see how it ends up.

1 Month Old!!!

Kennidee is 1 month today! She is 20.5 inches long, She weighs 8lbs 12 oz. She has chubby cheeks and a double chin. She is doing well and we all love her to pieces. McKell is still very protective of her. I had to hold McKell in my arms while the doctor examined her. Kennidee is awake more now. She definetly knows how to cry. I thought these two pictures show how much she has changed.

Pumpkin Picking

Thursday, October 9, 2008

We went last Friday to the pumpkin patch to pick pumpkins out with BJ's family. McKell had fun in the corn maze with her cousins chasing two little kittens. I love the fall season and put the pumpkins on my bale of oats (Thank You Danny!) next to my scarecrows. McKell also helped me cut the sides of our plastic pumpkins to put on the lights out side. My porch looks so cute if I do say so myself!!

Big Sister McKell

McKell is doing so much better with Kennidee then I ever thought possible. She likes to give her kisses and puts her head next to hers and tries to squish their heads together. Kennidee does get quite mad at having Mckell's wild hair in her face but it is cute! McKell has also became very protective of her sister and gets hysterical (literally) when anyone but BJ or I hold her. She does this by screaming at the top of her lungs and then she tries to pull Kennidee off of the persons lap who is trying to hold her. Distraction is the only thing that stops McKell from doing this (ie going to get some juice in her cup or candy). She also loves to hold her and ask constantly. Overall McKell has started on the right foot with Kennidee!

What Sleep? We don't need no stinkin sleep!

Well life has definetly gotten more hectic. McKell has been a good helper and always seems to come over and fall asleep just when there is no one to help get the baby so you end up with two sleeping babies on your lap. It does make for cute pictures though. BJ and I are still trying to get use to our lack of sleep. BJ has been doing attendance school again and he is to school by 6 am and McKell does not sleep when her sister is sleeping which makes it impossible for me to sleep when the baby is sleeping. Sleep is interesting at our house because we moved McKell's toddler bed to the foot of our bed because she would not stay in her own bedroom. Believe it or not it has actually worked better for us because she wakes up and you tell her "McKell you are okay go back to sleep" and she does in her own bed. If I could just convince Kennidee to eat instead of graze in the middle of the night then I would be doing okay. As small as she is I have a guilty conscience if I don't wake up and feed her.
