Sledding Adventures

Sledding Lessons:
1. Don't let your daughters hands get cold!!!!
2. Don't let your daughters hands get cold!!!!
3. Don't let your daughters hands get cold!!!!
4. If you remember these rules it will be a fun day.

Saturday we went sledding at a church in Bluffdale. They have a nice sized hill that the little kids can do by themselves. McKell, BJ and I went along with Jim, Jami, Steve and Morgan. We had alot of fun until McKell's gloves fell off. It was definetly all down hill from there. McKell screamed and screamed. I finally got her hands warmed up and she started smiling and wanted to go down the hill by herself.

Kennidee started screaming in the truck and so BJ told me I had to switch him. BJ got out to help McKell again and she wanted to go by herself again and something happenened... I don't know what I was feeding Kenni and McKell started screaming again. BJ let Morgan take McKell's sled down the hill and that made it worse. So we loaded her up in the truck and went to Grandma's where she continued to scream for about 15 minutes. P.S. the jump in the middle of the hill was a little nerve racking I was screaming. McKell just laughed when she went down all by herself, she thought it was really fun.

Christmas Morning...

I know for sure that BJ and I were more excited than our girls for Christmas. Neither one of us slept very well. BJ finally got out of bed at 6 am and went and plowed the driveway. I went downstairs at 7am when I couldn't lay in bed any longer. I asked BJ should we wake up the girls or wait. We woke up the girls at 7:30am and as you can see by their smiles they weren't to upset with us. McKell was so excited over her stocking. She also pulled everything out of Kenni's. She got to open everyones presents. BJ and I once again bought presents for the girls without the other one because we think it is fun to find out what the other one bought.

Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Earl spent the night at the hospital with Grandma Olsen. They were very tired after staying up most of the night with Grandma. The weather combined with the fact that Grandma and Grandpa had a sleep over meant that our Christmas breakfast ran a little behind but it was well worth it. I love biscuits and gravy or SOS. It was delicious. We all got to visit and then it was time to open presents. McKell thought because she got to open all of the presents earlier in the day that she was going to be able to open everything again. It caused a problem until we got her to understand that she only got to open her presents. Thanks to everyone for our presents. Grandma Kathy made McKell and I our own special aprons and we love them she did a great job.

Christmas night we had White Chili and went with Juan and Kinsey to the movie. Thanks to Uncle Cory for the great recipe we have made good use of it since we got it. We had a great Christmas and are looking forward to New Year's. We pray for Grandma Olsen and Love her alot!!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was interesting. We usually have a party with the Olsen's on BJ's mom side but Grandma Olsen is in the ICU at Utah Valley Regional. She is really sick and they have put her on Dialysis and have had her on the respirator. She has also been sedated to try and help her. We LOVE you Grandma!

So with the change of plans BJ and his sisters came up with a plan for us to have dinner together. We had ham, potatoes appetizers and rolls. We thought we did pretty good for coming up with a plan in a matter of hours. I got the girls matching shirts and PJ's. BJ didn't say it but I know he thought it was cheasy. Oh well, I thought it was cute. McKell even put out cookies for Santa. She was so much more aware of what was going on this year that it was fun.

My Birthday!!!

My Birthday was awesome! I got to sleep in and wake up to BJ making breakfast. BJ cooking breakfast is a present because when ever I ask him to make breakfast I get told that there is cereal and milk have at it. Then he couldn't wait any longer for me to open my presents. Sorry I know I look scary. BJ got me the stuff to cut quilt squares (board, cutter or blade and the meausuring board). I had asked for this and was super excited.

I then got ready and I got to go christmas shopping (this is a present because BJ hates to shop). Luckily for him the girls fell asleep right as we got there so he got to sit out in the car. That night BJ's family made me dinner. We had boneless ribs, funeral potatoes, green beans, salad and rolls. Sorry if that made you hungry but it was delicious. Then for dessert (BJ's family doesn't really do dessert) we went to Baskin Robbins. It was the best day of the year. I will have to see if Christmas can top it. BJ's family game me a jacket and pants which I love and my dad took me to Ruby River. I loved the whole day Thank you to everyone.

Jazz game!

BJ and I were fortunate to be given box seats to the Jazz game last Saturday. I told BJ he was given the Jazz tickets so he could have his night because the following day was my birthday. We had alot of fun BJ is a huge sports fan and he was super excited the box was an added bonus for him. He would have sat in nosebleeds and been just as excited. We had dinner which was pulled BBQ beef sandwiches with chips. Their was juice, water and pop in the fridge. Later they brought out dessert which was Apple Cobbler and ice cream. The food was delicious and we had an un-obstructed view of the court. It was really fun night out. Thanks you to Chad and his kids for watching the girls.

Kennidee's Special day

Kennidee's Blessing & Dyer Christmas Party

The Sunday following the party we had Kennidee's blessing. Thank you to all of you who came we had a great time and awesome waffles! Kennidee knew that it was her day she smiled in all of her pictures.

Last weekend we had the Dyer family Christmas Party. We had good food(my white chile was especially good). BJ and I got great gifts in the white elephant game. In my family we play the game with nice white elephants no junk. BJ took our gift back which was a jug of Chocalate Almonds with $2 bills inside and I got a kids picnic table that Joe made. Nice huh! I know what everyone is thinking BJ took chocolate but we need the money just like anyone else so he took it. We also brought steak and crab for our other gift which BJ is very proud to say was stolen twice, which has never happened to one of our gifts. McKell had fun Santa came and gave gifts. She got to swing at the pinata. She kept saying "I did it" everytime she connected with the pinata. Kennidee was spoiled rotten she was held by everyone but hung out with Kinsey and Juan the most. She likes to hear Juan's voice. She is always smiling at him. BJ as you can see was Santa's helper he got to be Rudolph. He is such a good dancer.

Thanksgiving Weekend activities

I thought I would catch everyone up on what has been going on at our house. We have been going, going, going and I haven't had a chance to blog much. We went to the movies shopping, out to eat, and visited with family.

I of course went shopping on Black Friday. I had alot of fun with Kama, Shantel and Jami. We started out just before 5am and ended after 2pm. I got almost everything I needed in one day thanks to the good sales and Kohls and Target.

We also went to South Towne Mall and got the girls pictures taken with Santa. Thanks to grandma Kathy we arrived in time to go up the back of the line and sit immediately on Santa's lap and then we went and ate at Olive Garden one of my favorites.
We went to the Christmas Light parade in Spanish Fork with most of BJ's family over Thanksgiving weekend and then went to Dusty's moms for leftovers. We had alot of fun visiting with the Olsen cousins.

Thanksgiving

This year we hosted Thanksgiving at our house. No, that doesn't mean I cooked the turkey I am not that crazy. BJ's dad made the stuffing (which for those of you who don't know goes inside the turkey) and the dressing. My dad cooked the turkey's. I made pies for the first time ever. Pumpkin, Banana and Coconut they were very delicious if I do say so myself. I only had one problem with the crust and threw away one because I had forgotten the salt. We had about 16 people come and we all fit in my front room. It was alot of fun and thanks to everyone who helped.
