Dyer Christmas Party

BJ and I were in charge of my families Christmas party and we all had so much fun.  I decided we were going to have prime rib.  It is pretty expensive so it was a really big decision for me and I went back and forth on it.  I thought BJ would scream if I asked him one more time what he thought I should do.  I made one prime rib and Chad made the other.  It was unanimous mine was the most delicious.  I was pretty nervous because it didn't look as good as Chad's but it tasted so much better.  BJ and i walked away with a $50 gift card and a bunch of fantastic bakeware from the white elephant game.  We are grateful to Grandpa Doug for being our special visitor.

Christmas Card

We had my Stepmom Kathryn take a family picture for our Christmas card and I think they turned out kind of cute!

Birthday

My birthday was great BJ gave me a pair of boots and we had a party at his mom's house the 13th.  I am not gonna lie I enjoyed it because Shantel (BJ's sister) usually gets her choice for what we eat for dinner and instead I got to choose.  I got a new watch band, cupcake tin and part of a new bedroom set from the party.

Lets see if anyone can guess who wrapped my boots?  Anyone?  Oh BJ had one of his TA's wrap it! Fantastic!

Christmas parties here we come!

Last night was the Oldham Christmas party.  This is Grandma Olsen's family.  We had lots of fun.  Kennidee wasn't so sure about the special visitor.  He made her a little nervous and she tried to bolt as soon as he had a hold of her.

McKell had lots of fun at the party she colored and ran around with all of the kids.  She told Santa that she wanted all of the toys.  Great that means I get to choose anything and she will be excited.

One of the cousins brought this horse drawn carriage and we got to take a ride though the snow.  McKell and Ashlyn were buddies for most of the night.  McKell thought it was cool that the one of the horses names was Max.  She told me it's like Max and Ruby!  We had a great night.

Oh yeah, less than 24 hours until my birthday!!!!!!

Last game but not Least....

The BYU Utah game this year was great!  Just a short overview of the game.  BJ didn't talk much during the first quarter due to Utah doing a good job of moving the ball and scoring first.  Then the second and third quarters he was very chatty because BYU was doing well.  The fourth quarter was very intense and yes you guessed it there wasn't alot of talking.  He was ecstatic at the end was relieved and then the talking was I wonder what bowl they will be going to...  When all was said and done it was a great time and we are thankful to all of those who helped with watching our kids during the home games.

Black Friday...Ready Set Go

love this time of year and all of the things there are to do.  I am one of the crazy people who enjoy going shopping on black friday.  Not only are there great deals but there is always some weirdo that you get to watch make a fool out of themselves.  I went with my inlaws and we decided to go to Target first.  I was really excited for their deals.  I can't tell you what they were because alot of them I got and it is secret business.  Our group was not worried about being the first ones in the door so we were standing across the way waiting for the end of the line.  Well security thought that we were going to try and but and so they told us that there was no way we were going to get in that line unless we walked to the end of it.  We didn't but in line but there was one girl/lady who decided that she was going to try and cause a scene.  So the line started moving and she jumped in the line well the security officer grabbed her jacket and pulled her out of the line.  She then preceded to run back and forth pretending like she was going to jump in line.  The security officers started chasing her and she turns around and looks at them and sais are they chasing me?  You could tell she got a rise out of it.  I had alot of fun shopping and we didn't stop there.  We also went to the light parade in Spanish Fork.

I know this is an awful picture of is but it was cold and here is what we got.  McKell and Kennidee were mesmerized by the lights and loved it when they got to see Santa!

Taycee and Morgan.

Grandpa Earl was making sure that he stayed warm.  I loved how you could barely see his face.

Savanna and Steven cuddling up to stay warm.  Did I mention that with the wind blowing it was pretty chilly.

Cardon, Teagan and Rennen.  Brindy and her family have joined in the tradition of going to the parade. Thanks to Sandy and Blake via Dusty and Colby for inviting us and for the good food after the parade.

Fun and Birthdays

We went to Ethan's Bday party at Chuckie Cheeses.  It was alot of fun my girls had fun playing all the games.  McKell really liked it when she got to pick out prizes with her tickets.  Kennidee got her birthday present from her Aunt Shantel.  She loves it is a ball popper of sorts.  I don't think Kennidee stopped running the entire time she had so much fun.  My birthday is in 12 days.  Hoorah!!!

Playing....etc

We have been having lots of fun lately.  My girls have been playing really well together which is always nice for the me.  McKell is always telling Kennidee lets go play Kenni!  I love it!!

Doesn't she look like she is an Ompa Loompa.  BJ's aunt Jackie gave her this hat and it makes us smile every time Kennidee wears it.
My sweet Kenni found McKell's chocolate pudding and she decided that she was hungry.  She was so happy with herself and she screamed bloody murder when I started cleaning her up.
McKell has gotten a 2 wheeler with training wheels.  Thanks to Morgan and Aunt Jami for the bike that Morgan has grown out of.  McKell loves the new bike.  She is always telling me I am going to ride my big girl bike.

Trick or Treat

I love Halloween. Ok so I love any holiday! I just love being able to celebrate with family and friends I think it is so fun. With the help of my sister Brindy I dressed up as a spider. I think it turned out so cool! We hit the nail on the head with this homemade costume.
This is most of the Roberts grandkids we are missing Tyler and Garrett. We missed them! I love seeing this picture every year the kids are getting so much personality every year. We used to have to bribe and hurry and snap a picture so that we could get them all at once. Now our only one who has a hard time is Kenni and she was bribed with M&M's.
McKell was Tinkerbell for Halloween thanks to her cousin Morgan who borrowed us the costume. She was so excited to be Tinkerbell!!
Kennidee wore McKell's old Ladybug costume. She looked adorable in it "If I do say so myself"! We ended up not spending any money on halloween except for candy which BJ handed out at school and McKell had trunk or treating at school.
This year we went trunk or treating with the roberts' cousins and McKell and Kennidee got lots of Candy. When we got McKell in the car I asked if she wanted to go trick or treating more and she told me " No, I just want to go home". My response was well that was easy. We came home and put on her PJ's and she was home for the night. She did like handing out candy at our door. The funniest part is as she would hand them their candy she would say " Trick or Treat"!

Halloween Fun

Preschool had their Halloween party on Thursday and McKell got to be Tinkerbell. She was so excited to show her friends. That when she got there she was jumping up and down flapping her arms saying I am Tinkerbell, I'm Tinkerbell!!
They got to do so many great activities, like frosting cookies, putting a monster back together and eyeball golf.
I am loving McKell going to school she is getting so smart it is amazes me everyday.
That same night we got to go and carve pumpkins with Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Earl. We got a special treat of having Grandma Olsen there as well. She and Kennidee were best friends all night because Grandma was giving Kennidee all the candy her heart desired. It was cute, because when we tried to get her down to leave she would start crying because she wanted back on her lap.
These were are final products McKell had a ghost, Kenni had Scooby I had a mummy and BJ had a pirate.

1st Preschool field trip

McKell had her 1st field trip and we had so much fun!! This is most of her preschool class. There were a few kids who would not get into the picture. 3yr olds you never no if they are going to be happy, mad or sad.
Kennidee came with us and had so much fun trying to do what her sister was doing.
This is the pumpkin the McKell got to choose for free. She told me she like it because it had bubbles all over.
They got to go down lots of different kinds of slides that McKell though was lots of fun.
McKell got to feed some of the animals. She was quite nervous because she has never been around many animals. The goat started licking the food out of her hand and McKell threw it on the ground because I think it scared her a little.
We had such a good time and are so glad we found Miss Lacy and her preschool class!

Happy Birthday BJ!!!

There are many reasons why we love BJ!!!
1. He tries things even if he doesn't think he will like it or can do it. (This is him trying not to get his clothes wet by taking a ride in the canoe which he didn't even get a few feet into the water before rolling over)
2. He works hard at school ( He loves the phrase a C will get me a degree). He is working on his masters and I am proud of him.3. He works his bum off so that I can be lazy and stay at home. ( He is working 10 hour days almost every day and those that he doesn't he works over 15 hours. Drivers ED)
4. He is always in a good mood and ready for a good laugh. (He loves to creap where I am and scare me! By the way I hate this!) 5. Who can forget how much he loves sports especially football ( We were able to see Barry Bonds hit his big home run which was a dream for BJ)!
6. He is a really good dad and his girls run to him when he gets home every day.
I could go on and on but you get the picture Happy Birthday BJ! I LOVE YOU and the girls LOVE YOU too!

In the land of 3 yr old pretend... This outfit is hot!

McKell loves to dress up. I cleaned out my girls closets on Tuesday and that night McKell comes downstairs in this get up. She has 24 mos. tights on, 3-6 month swimsuit and cover up, and shoes that are 2 sizes too small. If you look at the picture you can see that the crotch of the tights are almost at her knees. Oh and I can't forget she had her princess crown on. I love to see her play pretend.
I have been teaching McKell the rhyme "I'm a mean old witch with a hat". She has so much fun with all of the actions, that I thought it would be fun for her if she got to dress up as a witch too. She thought it was fun for all of 5 seconds. Long enough for her to finish the song and then she informed me that she is still going to be Tinkerbell. Her cousin Morgan passed on her old Halloween costume that McKell is really excited about wearing. The funny thing is when ever I have told this story to someone McKell pipes in "Mom I am not a witch, I want to be Tinkerbell". I thought my girls would be cute as Witches but oh well maybe next year.

Fall is here!

Here are some things we have been doing this fall. I mentioned that Kennidee loves to ride on the bike with McKell. She actually rides on the back of her bike and they go for rides in our neighborhood. It is really funny to watch because she sits between McKell's seat and the handle.
We also put out our halloween decorations. McKell loved putting them on the front windows. McKell has wanted to help me cook alot lately. I let her help make macaroni and cheese. The funny thing is the 2nd picture where you can se McKell hiding behind her arm because she told me the water was hot. She also wanted to use her cookie cutters so we made halloween sugar cookies.
I absolutely love fall and am so excited for the season. The holidays are fast approaching and that means time with family, lots of cooking and baking. I love the smell of my house in the fall because it's the time for baking bread and goodies.
