Trafalga

We got the season passes to Seven Peaks, Trafalga and other stuff.  We love to take the kids to trafalga.
KC even has fun!  He got to ride on the bumper boats with us.
BJ and Kenni rode on the go carts.  BJ said he forgot how fun it was!
McKell is tall enough that she was able to do laser tag.  BJ took a turn with her and so did I.  She didn't like to sit still as soon as everyone left the area we were in she would want to go an find them.  It is interesting to do it with kids because you kind of have a strategy of how it is going to work and then you have to follow your little kid around so they don't get lost.

McKell's Bday Warning picture overload!!!

McKell really wanted to do something fun for her Bday.  She picked to go to the zoo.  Grandma Kathy was able to come with us.
Kennidee was excited to see the elephants until he bugled? I don't know if that is the right word but it scared her so bad she hid behind my legs and literally jumped into my arms.
McKell and Kenni were both so excited to see the giraffes.
Grandma hung out with KC until he figured out where I was and then he would make a huge fuss until I would take him.
The birthday girl on the Carousel.
KC's 1st Carousel ride.  I am not sure if he liked it.
Has anyone noticed that I have 2 pictures of myself in these post so far.
KC's arms aren't long enough but he is tall enough.  I think it is tradition to take one of these pictures.  Ha BJ picture #3 with me in it.
Grandma and McKell riding the train.
Sisters are the best!!!
We had fun but we definetly only need to go to the zoo once a year.

KC's helmet

KC's helmet is now officially on full time.  This picture is the second day he had it and before it was pimped out.
KC has a BYU helmet inspired by his dad and created by his mom.  I cut everything out and put it on his helmet.
Grandpa Doug and Grandma Colleen came to help us through the transition.  Grandpa was a great help he held KC and helped to remind me that his time on or off was done.  He gave me a break from taking care of KC all the time.
Kennidee and McKell kind of took a backseat that first week so I am glad I had my mom here to help me.  She and Doug brought their motor home and parked it outside.  So they could have their own space and still be tons of help.

I just wanted it to be like Taylor's......

One day while my mom and Doug were here McKell came down and KC grabbed her hair and this huge chunk of hair came out.  I looked at and said Holy cow!  McKell said wow did you see that he pulled so much hair out.  I told her to turn around and look at me.  She had layers in her hair.
She had taken my kitchen shears upstairs with three adults home and cut her hair.  When I asked her why she did it.  She told me she wanted a haircut like Taylor's who is her cousin and that she didn't think I would let her.  She also told me that she put it all in the trash.  I think she thought because she had cleaned up after herself that it made it better.  By the tear stained eyes you can tell that Mom was a little harsh and made her sad.  We only let Aunt Brindy cut our hair.

Chipped tooth

I was trying to be helpful and put away some dishes at my sister Brindy's house.  I grabbed a stack of glass pans and was putting them away above the stove.  When the top pan started sliding and smacked me right in my front tooth.
Luckily I got into the dentist that afternoon and got it fixed.

McKell's preschool graduation

McKell and her teacher Miss Lacy.  Love her she did such a great job with her students.
McKell singing her ABC's rock and roll song.
Look at those cute alligators and of course McKell is surrounded by all boys.  She likes to play with girls now but for quite awhile the boys were her favorite.
Our preschool graduate and Miss Shawna and Miss Lacy.
I can't believe that McKell is going to be in Kindergarten.  She is getting so big!

Swimming

We went swimming at my brother Devin's house.  I was the only adult in the pool and Makynlee stuck to me like glue.  It was pretty cute.  I forgot Kenni's swimsuit so she wore a shirt and a tank top.
We had cousins in town from Nebraska and so we had an impromptu BBQ so that we could spend some time with them.
BJ and KC hung out pool side.

Dance Competion #2

This competition was in Mapelton at the high school.   McKell was sick and had only been on antibiotics for 24 hrs.  She had a pretty good fever so I took her into the doctor.  Her temp in the office was 104.  The doctor looked at me like I had neglected her but I had appt for KC earlier in the day and had not been home with her.  When the Dr was checking her out she asked me if she could lay down.  I told her yes and she laid down on the exam table and went to sleep immediately.  She had pneumonia and double ear infections.  So she was still pretty lethargic at her dance competition.
I debated on taking her but decided that her dances aren't very long and she could sleep in between them.  She did great. She spun slowly this time and finished her dance.
In between her dances these older girls volunteered to play Duck Duck Goose with the younger girls.  They had so much fun playing with the older girls and I was so impressed with the way the older girls treated these younger girls.
Backstage Mom and McKell.  It was so interesting to be back stage helping.  Their dance teacher asked them not to wear underwear because it shows lines and the judges take off points for them.  Their teacher prepared them months in advance for them and the girls all acted like they were tights everyday without underwear.

KC was blessed on May 1st.  We had all of our family in attendance.  After we blessed him we went to my dad's for a  BBQ.
My boys all dressed up for church.  BJ and I found KC's shirt and vest and could not agree on the color of the pants.  BJ thinks that Khaki goes with everything and I strongly disagree.  I decided I wouldn't ask him if the grey pants would work and bought them and BJ said they looked OK.  Ha! He looked so cute!
