Christmas Morning

Christmas is always such a fun time.  The girls went out on Christmas Eve and put out the reindeer food so that they would know where to land.
Then they put out the cookies and milk for santa.  Thanks to Alisha and her girls for bringing us a treat so that we could give them to Santa.
McKell was so excited to see what was in her stocking.
KC didn't care about anything other than candy.  He opened a present or two and then he just wanted the candy.
McKell finally got her long awaited Jasmine barbie she was so excited.  She even got his honey Aladdin.   She also got her doll house from Santa.
Kennidee got a trampoline from Santa she was so excited.  Santa put it together the day before while "Mrs. Clause" kept the kids busy inside.  It worked really well until McKell went outside to get the mail.  I told her that it was in the neighbors yard.  It turned out ok but the next morning we didn't say that it was from Santa we just left it unexplained.
This is the only picture I got of me or BJ so I had to include it.  I am not sure what that expression means.

3x is a charm....

BJ and I went to Disneyland on an adult only trip.  It was so fun for it to be just the two of us.  It wasn't meant to be only him and I but our cousins little girl got really sick and was admitted to the hospital the day before we were leaving.  We missed them but I think that it was good for us to have a trip by ourselves.
BJ and I stayed the night in Vegas at the Orleans.  BJ has always wanted to go Bobby Flay's restraunt The Mesa Grille.  I made reservations ahead of time and suprised him.  It was one of his Christmas presents.  Our portions were tiny but fantastic.  We bought this chicken taco appetizer.  We got 3 little strips of chicken and 3 little tortillas. BJ ate his taco and looked at me and said "that was $5".  BJ being the sauce man that he is loved every morsel of food.  I got pork tenderloin and not thinking asked for it to be medium like I get my steaks the insides were a little to raw for me to eat but I loved the outsides.
BJ and I got to do alot of things that we don't usually get to do.  We watched a parade on main street, we sat on a park bench for 2.5 hours so that we would have a good seat for the fireworks.  During the fireworks they had it snow.  It was actually bubbles but everyone thought it was so cool.
One of the things we got to do without the kids was the animation studio.  They teach you how to draw the differnt Disney characters.  We loved it!  They made it so simple to understand and as BJ would say...
They made us artist!  BJ did really good at Goofy.  My best drawing would have to be Piglet.  It was relaxing to just be able to sit and take your time.
We also went to the Sorecer's room.  Where you answer a bunch of questions from the magic mirror and it tells you which Disney character you are most like.
Yes, that is correct and I am the Evil Witch.  It said I was beautiful and sweet on the outside but rotten to the core.
BJ wanted to anwser the questions with some humor.  They asked him if he would like to have friends over for dinner or eat his friends for dinner?  He said he would rather eat his friends! Yeah, beware when BJ is hungry!
BJ's false answers led him to be Captain Hook because he is captain of his crew and ignores the rules.  Accurate?
The Christmas decorations in both parks was amazing to say the least.  It was also fun to see the warm clothes that the cast members got to wear as part of their costumes.
Toy Story is our favorite ride hands down.  BJ and I rode it several times.  We waited at least an hour each time but with no kids it was no big deal.  We had a backpack full of our snacks that we carried with us and it was really nice not to have to entertain our kids.
Ok I don't know how well you can see this but BJ and I are in the back on the left.  This is the tower of terror.  I hate this ride but rode it for BJ.  I had major anxiety just waiting to get on the ride because I knew what was coming.  I screamed really loud to say the very least.  Can you see the girl next to me looking at me and laughing?  Yeah she was with the family to the right of us and they were from out of the country.  When the ride stop BJ apologized to them for my loud screaming.  The 2 girls next to us couldn't stop laughing.  They preceded to run up to their family say something turn around and point to me and laugh.  Oh yeah obviously I am an American wonder!
Classic picture right?
California Screamin  I am such a pansy.  This ride made me so sick I could hardly walk when I got off.  I was motion sick for hours.  It was fun while I was on it but I sure did pay for it after.
BJ and Jake from the Never land pirates
We couldn't leave without at least one picture with a character.  That pose is called "Thats right were in the cool club".

Thanks to Brindy and Joe for watching our kids.

Kennidee's Christmas party

I volunteered to help at preschool for the christmas party.  We made glitter ornamets.
It actually worked alot better than I thought it was going to.
They brought presents to exchange with each other and Kennidee ended up with Jared's gift.  I don't know if you remember Jared and Macey's but Kennidee was.....
She was so angry that she got Jared's gift.  She threw it.  I was trying to talk her into just putting it in her backpack but she didn't ever want to touch it.  I told her that I decided I wanted it for my Bday present.  She was fine with that and asked to see my Bday present.  Silly girl!
After Kennidee was so angry after the presents I wasn't sure if she would sing when it came time.  I was pleasently surprised she did great.

Bowling with the scouts

I have been a bear leader for about 6 months now.  We took them bowling.  They were so funny to watch.  They all hovered near the ball return worried that they wouldn't get their ball.  I am not sure what the nervousness was but it was funny to watch.

Dyer Christmas party 2011

Dyer Christmas party was hosted by Chad and Jonique this year.  They did a Polar Express theme.  It turned out so awesome!  Really I didn't think the kids would sit still but they all did so good!
Maddox and KC these 2 little guy are about 6 months apart.  They were so cute together.  They kept checking each other out.  I think Maddox even tried to kiss KC.
See what I mean about all of the kids sitting while Grandpa Larry read the polar express.  These kids range from 2 years to 16 and they all sat quietly for the whole book.
KC wasn't quite sure about Santa.
Kennidee was screaming and yelling when it was her turn.  She was so excited.  It was a close second to when she almost knocked Tinkerbell over at Disneyland.
McKell was all business making sure Santa knew she wanted a dollhouse.
Santa brought the kids new PJ's.  KC lovvvved his lightning McQueen PJ's he tried over and over to try and put them on.
My parents and siblings trying to take a half decent picture.  Wow was it hard!

KC's Birthday

Our little guy is finally 1!
KC has 10 teeth.
He started walking for real right before Thanksgiving.
He loves truck and balls.
One of his favorite things are Zhu Zhu pet.  He loves to watch them zoom across the carpet.
He likes to pinch and pull you where he wants you.
BJ was in charge of KC's "cupcake".  He got him a blue smurf giant cupcake.  He hated it.  I put his hand in the frosting and tried to get him to try it.  He put his hand on his face and pushed it up to his hair.  He got a suprise of not being able to see.
This picture is after I started putting scoops of Ice cream on his tray.  If you look closely you can see his white Gootee finishing off his smurf look.
Aunt Jami came after she got off work and was teasing KC and I think he was saying "get a little closer and I will give you a taste".
We Love You KC and are glad you came to our family!!

KC's 1st haircut

KC's hair at 11 months.  His hair was so out of control.  It was driving me crazy it was so long in the front.
If you look closely you can see how tall those spikes are. Graham Cracker was our 1st line of defense to keep him still.
Combs were our 2nd line of defense.  They worked for like 2 seconds.
When everything else failed we gave him a sucker.  It worked extremely well.  I thought it was super gross because after a few licks he had hair on it but he wouldn't give it to me to clean it off.
Finished!  Doesn't he look Handsome!! Sucker and all.  Thanks to Aunt Brindy who had a hard job of trying it cut the hair of a bobble head doll.

Kennidee's 1st field trip

Kennidee was so excited for her 1st field trip.  It was a bonus that I was coming.  These are her friends that came with us.
Macey's rocks as far as their field trip goes.  They gave the kids apples, cookies, cheese and coupons for other free stuff.
One of the mom's brought in her stoller for her little girl and she let KC bum a ride.   Kenni had a great time until it was time to go home and Jared(a boy in her class) needed to ride with us.  She had a total meltdown over it.  She doesn't like Jared very much.  She claims that he is mean.

Halloween 2011

I volunteered to help McKell's class for Halloween.  I was in charge of the food.  I brought oreos and had them stick licorice in them and they made spiders.  We also had witches brew which consisted of  root beer with dry ice.
This is McKell's best friend Mikelle.  She was Snow White for Halloween.

McKell was so excited to have me helping in her class.  She was frustrated her group was the last one to come to my table.  She had lots of fun with the rest of the groups using toilet paper to make mummies, they made paper plate ghost.  She has asked me to come and help several times since.
Kennidee decided that she did want to be Cinderella for Halloween. She was such a beautiful Cinderella.
McKell was the little mermaid.  She was really excited about being Ariel.  We sprayed her hair red and she was so embarresed by it she tried to hide behind me at the store.  I am not sure why but the red hair really bothered her.

KC was an army man.  He was so excited to be outside.  He was in such a good mood.
Grandma Dori invited us to her work to go trick or treating.  I took the kids and we went.  They got so much candy that their buckets were over flowing.  They even had a spook alley and monster feet for them to follow.
The kids had so much fun on Halloween.  We went to Grandma and Grandma McGlone's house for dinner.  We went trick or treating in Bluffdale. We went to about 20 house' on one "L" street.  The kids got lots of full size candy bars.
We went to one house that the kids call the mansion.  The family there had all of these ice buckets full of full size candy bars and they got to pick 2 candy bars.  Another house they had a guy dressed up, you would throw a fishing line over and got to pick a full size candy bar off the list and then he gave them a toy.
One of the last houses of the night I was walking up the sidewalk with the kids.  There was a mummy hanging from the trees and Jim said Neisha what is that so I walked up to it and it started shaking and making noise.  I screamed pretty loud and everybody got a good laugh about it.
