Lobster fishing

BJ had a successful lobster trip the first week in October.  He went to the Catalina Islands.  My brother TJ, Josh and BJ all rode together.  They were gone for 5 days.  If I remember correctly BJ dove 12 times in 3 days.  I think half of these dives were in the dead of night.  Night is the best time to look for the lobsters.  They feed on the bottom of the ocean at night.  BJ said his first dive was really scary for him.  They put weight on him to help him sink and he couldn't so they put more on him.  He jumped back in the water and still was unable to sink.  He told TJ that he still didn't think he had enough weight on him.  TJ jumped in the water on top of BJ and pushed him under the water and BJ started to sink.  BJ said that it was pitch black you couldn't even see your hand in front of your face.  He lost TJ because he looked away for a split second and could no longer see TJ's light.  He didn't see any lobster his first few dives.  He said that TJ kept telling him to relax and why are you so freaked out.  BJ said it was nerve racking the first couple of dives.

They did some diving during the day which BJ said was gorgeous.  He said he saw a fish that was bigger than my brother swimming next to him.  I pulled this off the internet so it may be bigger than the one he saw but I thought this was a great perspective.
BJ had tons of fun and has lots of stories to tell, like looking in a cave which is where the lobster are during the day and reaching in to grab one and having an eel come slithering out.
BJ did have some luck his last few dives after someone told him to grab for the tails of the lobster which is exactly opposite of what they told him to do.  He ended up coming home with 5 that were big enough to keep.  TJ came home with 18 and Josh came 8.  BJ would like to do it again he enjoyed it.
