We went last Friday to the pumpkin patch to pick pumpkins out with BJ's family. McKell had fun in the corn maze with her cousins chasing two little kittens. I love the fall season and put the pumpkins on my bale of oats (Thank You Danny!) next to my scarecrows. McKell also helped me cut the sides of our plastic pumpkins to put on the lights out side. My porch looks so cute if I do say so myself!!

Big Sister McKell

McKell is doing so much better with Kennidee then I ever thought possible. She likes to give her kisses and puts her head next to hers and tries to squish their heads together. Kennidee does get quite mad at having Mckell's wild hair in her face but it is cute! McKell has also became very protective of her sister and gets hysterical (literally) when anyone but BJ or I hold her. She does this by screaming at the top of her lungs and then she tries to pull Kennidee off of the persons lap who is trying to hold her. Distraction is the only thing that stops McKell from doing this (ie going to get some juice in her cup or candy). She also loves to hold her and ask constantly. Overall McKell has started on the right foot with Kennidee!

What Sleep? We don't need no stinkin sleep!

Well life has definetly gotten more hectic. McKell has been a good helper and always seems to come over and fall asleep just when there is no one to help get the baby so you end up with two sleeping babies on your lap. It does make for cute pictures though. BJ and I are still trying to get use to our lack of sleep. BJ has been doing attendance school again and he is to school by 6 am and McKell does not sleep when her sister is sleeping which makes it impossible for me to sleep when the baby is sleeping. Sleep is interesting at our house because we moved McKell's toddler bed to the foot of our bed because she would not stay in her own bedroom. Believe it or not it has actually worked better for us because she wakes up and you tell her "McKell you are okay go back to sleep" and she does in her own bed. If I could just convince Kennidee to eat instead of graze in the middle of the night then I would be doing okay. As small as she is I have a guilty conscience if I don't wake up and feed her.

She's Here!!!

We're Home. Thank Goodness for no more time in the hospital. Thank You to all of those who brought me food in the hospital and saved me from the horrible hospital food.

Kennidee Paige was born on September 23, 2008 at 7:57am. She was 6 lbs 15 oz and was 18 inches long. I don't make lungs very well and she had breathing problems like McKell. She was placed on the CPAP like her big sister for 4 hours because she was gasping. After 4 hours they deemed her healthy as far as her lungs went. We found out on day 2 that she had left hip dysplasia. Which is where her hip did not fully form and her femur doesn't catch in her hip socket like it should. After the ultrasound they told is that it doesn't look bad that they would recommend follow up with the orthopedic and primary children's. So we will let you know.

Mom-Day 1 was kind of a blur because of being nauseated and numb thanks to the spinal block. I felt fine the following day until ny shoulder started aching. I found out that this is called shoulder strap where air gets trapped inside your shoulder and causes sever pain. I took pain pills for 24 hours because of this horrible pain and haven't had to take one since. This incision hurts 75% less than last time I can bend over, I can stand up without help, I can blow my nose and I can use the bathroom without help! Wahoo that is awesome!

Projects

On Tuesday after my dr's appt when the plan was made for how my pregnancy was going to finish I made it a point to try and get all of my little projects done. McKell and I got her new dresser stained so that we could move her old one into the new babies room. I put away all the baby clothes in the dresser and hung the letters and pictures in the new room. We went to the store and bought diapers, pacifer's and other essentials (nursing pads etc..). I know that might be TMI for some of you but it's the truth those of you who have nursed know what I am talking about.

The plan for the next week began last night. I had to go an have a non stress test at L & D where you sit there for an hour while monitoring you and the baby. It went well which means I get to do it again on Tuesday if that one goes well then I will be delivered on Thursday at 38 wks. If it doesn't go well then he will deliver me on Tuesday.
This is my sweet daughter who decided to see if she could fit in the lazy susan in my kitchen. As you can see she did a pretty good job. It started to make her nervous because she couldn't figure how to get out. She is always finding something to get into.

Redemption!!

Okay so now I don't feel so bad about the day's adventures. I got peaches, pears, peppers and cucumbers with my yard sale money which we ended up $17 ahead on. But the best news is why BJ was outside at the yard sale I put up our log bed and mattress on KSL and we just sold it all for $280. So overall I am feeling really good about the whole day. I guess I just had to complain for it to work. PS I only paid $ 200 for the log bed so I am feeling pretty good about it.

Yard Sale

BJ and I once again decided that we would try this yard sale thing once again. We tried it in june and I think we made $40. Wahoo! My family members are always telling me how much money they make when they do yard sales. Well BJ and I put in ad in the paper for $39 and have only made $30 so far today so we are still out $9. Pretty pathetic huh! I don't know if our crap is just crap and not someone else's treasure or what. Either way after today it is all going to the DI.
