In the land of 3 yr old pretend... This outfit is hot!

McKell loves to dress up. I cleaned out my girls closets on Tuesday and that night McKell comes downstairs in this get up. She has 24 mos. tights on, 3-6 month swimsuit and cover up, and shoes that are 2 sizes too small. If you look at the picture you can see that the crotch of the tights are almost at her knees. Oh and I can't forget she had her princess crown on. I love to see her play pretend.
I have been teaching McKell the rhyme "I'm a mean old witch with a hat". She has so much fun with all of the actions, that I thought it would be fun for her if she got to dress up as a witch too. She thought it was fun for all of 5 seconds. Long enough for her to finish the song and then she informed me that she is still going to be Tinkerbell. Her cousin Morgan passed on her old Halloween costume that McKell is really excited about wearing. The funny thing is when ever I have told this story to someone McKell pipes in "Mom I am not a witch, I want to be Tinkerbell". I thought my girls would be cute as Witches but oh well maybe next year.

Fall is here!

Here are some things we have been doing this fall. I mentioned that Kennidee loves to ride on the bike with McKell. She actually rides on the back of her bike and they go for rides in our neighborhood. It is really funny to watch because she sits between McKell's seat and the handle.
We also put out our halloween decorations. McKell loved putting them on the front windows. McKell has wanted to help me cook alot lately. I let her help make macaroni and cheese. The funny thing is the 2nd picture where you can se McKell hiding behind her arm because she told me the water was hot. She also wanted to use her cookie cutters so we made halloween sugar cookies.
I absolutely love fall and am so excited for the season. The holidays are fast approaching and that means time with family, lots of cooking and baking. I love the smell of my house in the fall because it's the time for baking bread and goodies.

Kennidee's Birthday Party

Ok so I am a little overdue on Kennidee's Bday. On her actual Bday I bought her a donut that we put a candle in. I had put her to bed and BJ went and got her up since he felt bad he hadn't seen her all day. We sang her Happy Birthday and she devoured her donut. We had her Bday party on Sunday and we had lots of family and friends attend. I made her a duck cake. She loved it. She put her whole face into it several times. It was so cute. McKell had a hard time letting Kenni open her presents she thought she should be able to open them. Kennidee got what she needed which was clothes for winter. That is what we get for having babies born in two different seasons. McKell's clothes have worked for a long time but not any more.

1st Birthday

Today is Kennidee Paige's 1st birthday!! I can't believe she is 1. She is a ball of energy all the time. She is going all the time and she will wake up early (yes that is before the sun rises) and will go all day if there is something going on. When we were in Disneyland she only slept when we were on Pirates of the Carribean. Her favorite thing to do right now is to go on a bike ride with McKell. My pictures are backwards the top picture is from today and then she gets younger and younger. We are not celebrating today because BJ has parent - teacher conference until late tonight. I will post pictures of her party after sunday.

One day is enough!

McKell had her 1st day of preschool on Tuesday. I can't believe she is old enough to go to school. She had lots of fun. When I asked her if she was ready to go to school on Thursday she told me "No, I already did". I guess for McKell one day of school is enough for her whole life.

Caitlin’s pursuit of the truth swiftly thrusts her into a maze of unanswered questions and unexpected heartache.Meanwhile, time is running out for Madeline. If Caitlin doesn't find the proof she is looking for soon, there may not be a future for any of them.

I had the opprutunity to read Rachel Anne Nunes new book Saving Madeline. Anyone who knows me knows I looove to read. It drives my husband crazy because if I have a good book to read like this one. I am useless around the house until I have it read.

If you like a book that makes you think, then this is the book for you. She wrote a book that demonstrates that life's choices are not black and white. Is it ok for you to steal your child? Does it depend on the circumstances or is it just wrong? I loved the book. This book has you look into yourself and ask the question what would you do?

I have always loved Rachel Ann Nunes' books and this one was amazing I read it late into the night because it kept me turning the page. If you would like to read more about her book or her other books visit http://www.rachelannnunes.com/

Roberts Reunion

We went to the Roberts' family reunion last week. It was fun for the adults and the kids. We played something where you put ice in a swimming pool and you have to use your feet and put it in a bucket.
McKell got 5 ice cubes and I got 8 in my bucket. It was alot harder than I thought it would be. The winner for the adult women had a 131 ice cubes. Yes, I know I did pitiful. I think having big feet is a disadvantage.
The next activity for the little kids was they had a plate that had M&M's hidden inside of cool whip and you could only use your mouth to get them out. McKell had tons of fun with this.
I think the little kids had more fun on this little roller coaster than almost all the games put together. They even started riding it backwards.
Now the best for last. BJ got a hair transplant doesn't it look great. He has been feeling the burn from the lack of hair on top of his head and decided to wear this hot hat of his Uncle Mike's. Wow that is all there is left to say about that!

Kennidee watch

This is my baby she is almost 11 months old. She is quite the character.

She has 5 teeth. She got 4 of these in one month between 9-10 months of age.
She is standing all by her self and will stand up almost anywhere including the stairs. She stands on the stairs after she gets so excited with her sister who is saying "come on Kenni".
The 2 sisters are playing alot more together which is fun to watch. McKell is trying to help Kenni walk all the time. She does a good job she just needs to walk a little slower because Kennidee usually trips and falls down.
How cute is this! Kennidee did such a good job taking pictures!
Oh yeah, by herself she can take about 5 steps. It is very exciting. McKell walked about 2 weeks before her 1st birthday so it is a race.

Last couple of weeks we have been...

So I went to Albertson's for their Kraft food deal and BJ and I spent 77.17 and got back 15 at the register and have 60 coming in mail rebates. So we spent 2.17 on all of this food. I know I am awesome. I know most of it looks like junk food but BJ did start school so he needs snack right!
Grandma Colleen came to help Aunt Brindy move and she came over for dinner and to see my girls. I told BJ that I thought it was a little too quite. I went upstairs and so Grandma helping McKell empty her toy box. McKell had so much fun with Grandma Colleen and Kennidee followed me up the stairs and had lots of fun too.
Ok so to explain this random picture BJ is always asking me why don't you blow dry McKell's hair or straight iron it. Well hear it is she looks so much different. Wow I was shocked and BJ was so excited he couldn't stop commenting about it. To explain my husband is not the biggest fan of curly hair. I think somewhere in his head that if I leave it curly then that means I didn't take the time to do it that morning. I'll be honest her hair is like an every other day thing. She has a major fit to wash her hair and with curly hair it is a pain to comb through if it hasn't been washed.
This is the most recent picture I have of her where you can really see her hair. Do you like all the marker all over her.

Ducks, river and J-u-u-a-n-n-e

Wow, looking at this picture still totally freaks me out. We went to Idaho falls and stayed with our friends Carissa and Mike. They took us to the falls which are gorgeous but they McKell to be able to feed the geese and ducks. Can you believe how many birds there are? They were everywhere. BJ braved and helped McKell throw them bread.

Like I said the falls are beautiful but the geese not so much!!

The reason for a trip to Idaho was for my niece Kinsey's open house. The funniest part of our celebration was when my nephew Teagan who is 7 read the front windshield and said "Who is (pronouce this like a girl's name) J-u-u-a-n-n-e". We had a celebration weekend with floating the river as well. The river was so much fun. BJ and I rented a 4 person tube where the center was enclosed and our whole family (yes that means we took Kennidee and McKell) down the river several time. The girls had fun most of the time... except for when Kennidee fell asleep in my arms and we then went down a small rapid and Kenni got cold water splashed in her face. She didn't think that was very exciting. Our summer has been constantly on the go. It has been exciting and exhausting. I have been pleased to just sit in my pj's and do nothing at home. By the way Juan if you are reading this I would never do that to your car.
