Early to rise, Early to nap!!

I love it when you wake everyone up so early that they all crash in the car on the way home from school. I opened all the doors and left them in the garage to sleep.  It was so peaceful to have an hour to myself without any kids.

Mini drill team

McKell went and participated in the mini drill team camp.  BJ took her the first 2 days.  I took her the third day because BJ was doing Drivers Ed.  She wasn't excited about the change.  She sat in the corner of the gym by herself and wouldn't dance.  I asked her what was wrong and she said she just wanted her dad to come with her.  It was sweet she wanted her dad it doesn't usually work that way.
The next night was the preformance at the High school half time.  I was nervous she would pull the same thing as the night before.  But BJ took her over and found Maddie and she was good.
She had so much fun dancing and couldn't stop talking about it.

Halloween came early at our house

BJ has been learning how to scuba dive and went for his final dive at the crater in Midway on 9/27.  The guy who was his partner was diving down really quickly and BJ went to go and get him and didn't breathe through his nose as he was going down (which equalizes his pressure in his mask).  Thus it gave alot of pressure on his eyes and he ends up looking like this.
It really freaked out his students.  He had to tell the story at the beginning of every class period so that they would pay attention.  He also said that when students would come up to ask him a question they wouldn't look him in the eye.

Picnic for two

I was watching McKell one day taking things outside wondering what she was doing.
She set up a picnic for her and I.  We even had fruit and then a treat.  She is such a smart kid.

Kennidee's 2nd Bday

Kennidee had her 2nd Bday on Sept 23.  A few things about Kennidee.  Kennidee is potty trained!  She can talk really well.  She is stuck like glue to her mommy.
She loves fairies especially tinkerbell.  Her dad went shopping with McKell for Kennidee's Bday presents this year and they did a great job.  She got the Tinkerbell movie, dolls and a tinkerbell back pack.  She loved all of her presents.
She had so much fun at her Birthday party as soon as she would open something she would run around showing everyone.
Kennidee and Great Grandma Olsen.
We Love You Kennidee and are glad that you are a part of our family!

Fall activities

Fall is my favorite time of season.  Last Sunday we went for a drive up AF canyon.  I set the timer on my new camera and ran to take the picture.  The camera works great.
The colors are just starting to change.  It was so pretty.  BJ and I were in awe of all the beautiful colors.  I was paying attention to the scenery when a moose jumped onto the road.  I let go of the throttle and threw my hands in the air.  It scared me so bad we hardly ever see anything except for deer.  He was way bigger than a deer.
Where we were riding there were tons of huge boulders.  McKell wanted to climb up on all of them.  We choose this one that was like 4x her size.

This summer I have been watching my sister in laws kids while she works.  They are in year round school so every 2 months I have them for 3 weeks.
Sometimes it is hard finding something for everyone to do but play-doh is fun for all.  Especially when their mom hates play-doh.  I think on this particular day they all played quietly for like 2 hours.  It was pure bliss.

1st day of preschool

McKell went back to preschool on Sept 10.  She was so excited to go back and see Miss Lacy.  She wore her new skirt that she picked out.
Title of this picture " Mom the sun is too bright!"
McKell found her name.  She can write her first name great and this year she is going to work on writing her last name.
I being the brilliant parent never fully read the packet of info that I got on back to school night.  If I would have read it I would have known that school went until noon and not 11:30 this year.  Noon is great that gives me so much more time to myself 3x a week. Of course I still have Kenni but that's easy.
I have been watching my 2 nieces and nephew this summer and Steve started preschool with McKell on Wednesday too.  He was so excited he has never been to preschool before.

McKell's 1st Dance Class

McKell started dance on September 7.  She was so excited and kept asking me when did she start ballerina class.  This is her posing cut huh!
Parents could stay for the first time so I took full advantage of that to take pictures of her.
Watching this class was so funny.  Here is McKell doing her booty walk.
McKell was so tired after dance class.  She fell asleep playing a game on the computer.

St George Geocache

On Labor day BJ and I decided to do some geocaching in St. George.   We invited Brindy's family to come along.  Cardon found the first geocache at the gas station.  Everyone was pretty excited to see what a geocach was.
Brindy decided that she wanted to see if she could find one with the GPS.  She took the reigns looking for it and suprise she found it in what looked like a sprinkler box.
The kids were all excited to see all of the trinkets that were in the box.  We all had had so much fun we went back to the hotel and looked up a few more geocaches.
We went to the cemetery and BJ found it in this pine tree.  It was a film canister wrapped in camo.  It was kind of hard to find.
Next we went to the St. George Rec center and BJ spotted it under this storm drain.  Joe reached under and removed it.
It was a magnet attached to the metal grate.
The last one I have to give all the credit to Joe.  In the clue it talked about a rock.  So we were all looking at the rock.  Joe found a pen cap attached to this tiny tube.  It looked like a piece of trash.  I was shocked it was pretty tricky.
We all had alot of fun looking and I think we may have gotten Brindy and Joe hooked on geocaching.

Pictures finally!

I finally got a new camera and feel like I have been lost without it.  We have been doing so much this summer that I feel like I have alot to catch upon on.  So here goes...
First I have to mention that this cute little girle had been wearing big girl panties for over 3 weeks and is doing fantastic.  She rarely has accidents unless her mom forgets to ask her if she needs to go potty before leaving the house or going to sleep.  She has been so much easier to potty train than McKell ever was.  She is the coolest ever because her 2nd Bday isn't for 2 more weeks.
Last Sunday and Monday we went to St George for my nephew Maddox's baby blessing.  We couldn't leave on Friday because BJ had tickets to the BYU game.  My brother manages a motel there where we always stay.  Here is a picture of 4 out of my 5 brothers cleaning up after lunch.  Handsome bunch I know.
One of the best parts about going and hanging out at the hotel is that there is a pool.  The girls love to go swimming and haven't gotten many opprutunities this summer.  They had so much fun hanging out in the water with their cousins.
The funniest thing happened to McKell while we were there.  We had swam for like 3 hours and had all went in and showers.  BJ was in our room with Kennidee who was down for a nap and McKell and I were by the pool.  I was talking with the adults and McKell was talking to some of her cousins that were still swimming.  McKell decided that she would sit on this little 3 legged table to visit.  Well the table tipped and acted like a slide straight into the hot tub.  McKell fell in and jumped up and looked at me to see if she was in trouble.  I was laughing so hard I couldn't even make it over to help her.
