Book Review!
As a public defender, Caitlin McLoughlin dreams of someday locking the bad guys in prison instead of defending them. But prosecuting jobs are scarce, and Caitlin’s future seems bleak. When her current client is about to walk away from a brutal crime, she risks her career to make sure he doesn’t hurt anyone else. Yet what if her choice means sacrificing her career and the means care for her mentally disabled sister? Then Caitlin meets Parker Hathaway, charged with kidnapping four-year-old Madeline. Just another criminal, another job, Caitlin thinks. But Parker tells a far different story. Can Caitlin believe him, as her heart urges? Is she willing to put everything on the line to defend her client—a man who claims to be protecting the child he loves? Or is her trust better placed in the handsome deputy district attorney with his undefeated record in court? Caitlin’s pursuit of the truth swiftly thrusts her into a maze of unanswered questions and unexpected heartache.Meanwhile, time is running out for Madeline. If Caitlin doesn't find the proof she is looking for soon, there may not be a future for any of them.
I had the opprutunity to read Rachel Anne Nunes new book Saving Madeline. Anyone who knows me knows I looove to read. It drives my husband crazy because if I have a good book to read like this one. I am useless around the house until I have it read.
If you like a book that makes you think, then this is the book for you. She wrote a book that demonstrates that life's choices are not black and white. Is it ok for you to steal your child? Does it depend on the circumstances or is it just wrong? I loved the book. This book has you look into yourself and ask the question what would you do?
I have always loved Rachel Ann Nunes' books and this one was amazing I read it late into the night because it kept me turning the page. If you would like to read more about her book or her other books visit http://www.rachelannnunes.com/

Roberts Reunion
We went to the Roberts' family reunion last week. It was fun for the adults and the kids. We played something where you put ice in a swimming pool and you have to use your feet and put it in a bucket.
The next activity for the little kids was they had a plate that had M&M's hidden inside of cool whip and you could only use your mouth to get them out. McKell had tons of fun with this.Friday, August 21, 2009
Kennidee watch
This is my baby she is almost 11 months old. She is quite the character.
She has 5 teeth. She got 4 of these in one month between 9-10 months of age.
She is standing all by her self and will stand up almost anywhere including the stairs. She stands on the stairs after she gets so excited with her sister who is saying "come on Kenni".Last couple of weeks we have been...
So I went to Albertson's for their Kraft food deal and BJ and I spent 77.17 and got back 15 at the register and have 60 coming in mail rebates. So we spent 2.17 on all of this food. I know I am awesome. I know most of it looks like junk food but BJ did start school so he needs snack right!
Ok so to explain this random picture BJ is always asking me why don't you blow dry McKell's hair or straight iron it. Well hear it is she looks so much different. Wow I was shocked and BJ was so excited he couldn't stop commenting about it. To explain my husband is not the biggest fan of curly hair. I think somewhere in his head that if I leave it curly then that means I didn't take the time to do it that morning. I'll be honest her hair is like an every other day thing. She has a major fit to wash her hair and with curly hair it is a pain to comb through if it hasn't been washed.
This is the most recent picture I have of her where you can really see her hair. Do you like all the marker all over her.Thursday, August 6, 2009

On your mark, get set, go!
Morgan's birthday party was so much fun. I think the adults got more entertainment than any of the kids and Shantel's knee will always remember Morgan's party.
The little kids did have their share of fun. Steve and Ethan even played air hockey against one another.
This would be Shantel after one of her infamous races. She and Jim would race through the obstacle course and down the slide. This particular time she got ejected out of the slide. It was one of the funniest things I have ever seen. The race below is Jami and Shantel decide for yourself if you think it is funny?4th of July

We also had a BBQ at our house and had over Grandma & Grandpa McGlone, Shantel & family, Jim & family and Kinsey and Juan. There it is said now I won't forget who was here. I do have to say the funniest part of the night was the next day when I found out Jim had been mobile face booking while at my house. I guess we weren't exciting enough.
McKell was a little afraid of the sparklers as you can tell by her face. She had the skill mastered by the end of the night. We watched Thanksgiving points fireworks from our front yard while being feasted on by the mosquitos. I think I got something like 15 mosquito bites.Saturday, July 11, 2009
M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E
I was so excited for my girls to go to Disneyland. I was not disappointed they had so much fun. Kennidee loved taking pictures and looked at the characters as if to say "what is up with you"? Here is a sample of all of the things we did. McKell was just barely to short to ride most of the rides. We got to take her on Pirates of the Caribbean where she got really scared because of the drops in the dark. We rode it a few more times over the next few days and she liked it more and more. She would tell me to lift my arms. This ride was the perfect chance for Kenni to catch a cat nap which she did each time.
