Kindegarten

McKell's 1st day of school.  She was so excited for this day to come.  She talked about it all through the summer.
She was put into Ms. Peterson's class at the last minute.  There are 5 girls in her class and the rest are boys.  I think their are like 17 boys.
Ms.  Peterson's rug time.  McKell didn't want me to stay with her.  She told me she was fine.  She did great.  No tears for Mom or her.  Dad on the other hand was quite emotional.

Disneyland in August

The locals!!  What more needs to be said other than "Awesome Hair".  I made BJ slow down so that I could take a picture of their hair waves.
We went to the beach.  It was so much fun.  It was probably my favorite day.  My nervous McKell loved the water and the waves.  My fearless Kennidee didn't like it at all and set with Grandma Colleen up on the blankets.
TJ, Jody, Macrae, Kyree, Mckynlee and Brecklyn joined us along with Grandma Colleen.  It was fun to have cousins along for the trip.
Honorary Bugs in Disneyland.
Grandma Colleen and Makynlee
We loved our trip to Disneyland and bought season passed so look for more Disney trips to come.

4th of July 4 wheeling

BJ and Colby zooming through the mud.
Wow do you think your are riding home in our car?
They all had so much fun.  This is on Skyline drive and it was so muddy.  There was mud everywhere.
BJ was having fun and hit a ledge in this huge mud puddle and it flipped him over.  BJ said it was the softest crash he had ever had.  BJ was fine but you should have seen his mom and cousin Trevor about to run into the puddle to check on BJ until he popped up and said I'm fine.
Cleaning up in the spring runoff.  This trough is for the animals and is freezing cold water.
BJ was so dirty that he laid down in the trough.  He didn't last very long he was so cold.  They had lots of fun and BJ rode home on a blanket.

Dyer Family reunion was spent at my brother Devin's house.  We spent most of our time in the pool.
The little kids all had so much fun hanging out together.  They were all so excited just to be together.

BJ and I were in charge of movie night with Jonique providing the snacks.  Kennidee couldn't hold out for the movie she was beat from the pool.
We watched Tangled on a projector that BJ borrowed from school.  It was a greatway to have the night wind down.
Bj and I also put on a Dyer Amazing Race.  We both our such fans of the show that we wish we could have ran it ourselves.  We knew it was going to be fun.  We had everyone things set up at different place in American Fork and Lehi.  The had to play skeeball or shoot hoop and reach a certain score.
They had to go to the cemetary and find a certain grave to receive their next clue.  They also had to go to the store and drink a gallon of milk.  They had the choice to eat the XXX wings at wing shak to fast forward to the end.
They had to solve puzzle to receive clues and had to race around the track in a wagon.  It was alot of fun to watch.  Next time we will have someone else plan so we can race.  Dyer Highway also had their concert release party during the reunion that we all got to go too.

McKell's 5th Bday

McKell turned 5 on June 5.
McKell loves to learn new things
McKell loves to create (draw, color, cut, glue)
McKell loves her short hair
McKell wants to live on a horse farm when she grows up
She had lots of cousins and friends at her party.  She had a few request for her party.  She wanted to play the pop the balloon game, musical chairs and pin the tail on the donkey.

Here are the kids ready to pop each others ballons.
Dinner McKell wanted to roast Marshmallows and Hot dogs.  She really wanted to have a camping birthday party.
She got a rocket ballon set.  McKell, Annika, Ava and Kennidee were having so much fun with it they flew one of the balloons on the house.  Rhett was kind enough to retrieve it.  Don't these boys look like they were cheerleaders!!

Pleasant Grove Strawberry days is the best.  Our family starts with Huck Finn Days at the park.
They flood the park and put fish in it so that people can fish.  Then they pull out all of the fishermen and let the kids go in with buckets, nets, bags and hands to try and catch the fish.   After the intial shock of the how cold the water is they have lots of fun.
They also have princesses their painting faces which of course I made sure they got to do.
They also have slides and cake walks.  The kids had lots of fun.  Here they are modeling their painted faces.
Rodeo!  Need I say more I love the PG rodeo.  The strawberries and cream are divine.  The rodeo hamburger isn't bad either.
I will have to admit I was a little nervous during the rodeo because we were sitting on the back row with this huge gabs between the wood.  My girls kept wanting to look at all the people getting food.  BJ thought I was silly because of my fear.  Oh well everyone came home safetly.
Saturday Morning brings the parade.  The kids always have so much fun chasing after the candy.  There were alot of kids there so they didn't get very much but that was ok with me.
Well until next festivities....

Saratoga Springs parade

I will have to give the parade a C+.  It was not a very good parade.  There wasn't alot of entrys for the parade or people watching the parade.
Two reasons for being alright.  I got to see some old coworkers and BJ got to see some of his students.  BJ's student was trying to squirt him and squirted McKell right in the face.  She was mad about it.

This is the place

We went to This is the Place.  It was free admission and free ice cream day.  I am always up for a good deal.
Brindy rearranged her plans and came along with her kids.
We had lots of fun looking around at everything.  I have to be honest I am glad that I didn't pay for it.  It was cool but not cool enough for $10 per adult.
Brindy's family really like the blacksmiths shop.
Kenni was afraid to ride the horse unless she was riding with her sister.  I think it is pretty cute.

BJ decided he needed to try out this "slightly used coffin".
McKell got to carve with the carpenter.  She thought it was pretty cool.
The view from the top of the hill. Amazing to think that this is where Brigham Young was sent and declared that "This is the place".

Riding the train back down to the cars.

Trafalga

We got the season passes to Seven Peaks, Trafalga and other stuff.  We love to take the kids to trafalga.
KC even has fun!  He got to ride on the bumper boats with us.
BJ and Kenni rode on the go carts.  BJ said he forgot how fun it was!
McKell is tall enough that she was able to do laser tag.  BJ took a turn with her and so did I.  She didn't like to sit still as soon as everyone left the area we were in she would want to go an find them.  It is interesting to do it with kids because you kind of have a strategy of how it is going to work and then you have to follow your little kid around so they don't get lost.
