What is better than family fun in the sun! We had the Dyer reunion in the middle of June in St George. We had so much fun! We spent the weekend soaking up the sun.
BJ tells me I never include any pictures of myself. This picture is proof why I don't. All of the kids had so much fun we all stayed in a motel this year and the dyer grandkids invaded the pool. We have 30 grandkids and we were only missing 3 of them.
Imagine that your family has went on a vacation and arrives late and your kids are dying to go in the pool only to find 30 people in a hotel's pool. Their were so many people who came to the pool door with their towels and suits and looked at all of us and turned around. I remember one lady who braved it and attempted to do laps in the pool. She was zig zaging for about five minutes and she finally gave up and got out of the pool.
We attempted on Saturday to go to the lake. We were there for maybe 10 minutes when I told BJ that we could just go back to the hotel. He asked me where is your family? I said at the lake and he told me that is where we are going to be too!
The reason for me having such a bad attitude is because of the wind. Imagine the "sand"wich in Little Rascals and you can taste my sandwich. My Doritos's even had sand them. I will say that Kennidee had a lot of fun sitting in the sand and eating straight sand. She thought it was delicious. We left after maybe 2 hours of being there due to the sand storm. We paid $10 for 2 hours of eating sand! But oh well we all went back to the pool and swam for hours with no sand except with the exception of the sand we brought back to the pool.
Sunday we went to the Splash pad in St. George. It was a cool place with a waterfall and a little river and of course it had the shooting fountain. McKell began with falling asleep in the truck. I thought good she will have a little nap and then will be good to go. Ha! Little did I know McKell had other plan. She screamed and screamed and hid under the wheel well of the truck ( I think that is how you spell that). She hid under park benches and just cried and cried. This is a sign that my child has had too much fun and not enough sleep. She calmed down after seeing a little girl with a Dora doll.
