We're Home. Thank Goodness for no more time in the hospital. Thank You to all of those who brought me food in the hospital and saved me from the horrible hospital food.

Kennidee Paige was born on September 23, 2008 at 7:57am. She was 6 lbs 15 oz and was 18 inches long. I don't make lungs very well and she had breathing problems like McKell. She was placed on the CPAP like her big sister for 4 hours because she was gasping. After 4 hours they deemed her healthy as far as her lungs went. We found out on day 2 that she had left hip dysplasia. Which is where her hip did not fully form and her femur doesn't catch in her hip socket like it should. After the ultrasound they told is that it doesn't look bad that they would recommend follow up with the orthopedic and primary children's. So we will let you know.

Mom-Day 1 was kind of a blur because of being nauseated and numb thanks to the spinal block. I felt fine the following day until ny shoulder started aching. I found out that this is called shoulder strap where air gets trapped inside your shoulder and causes sever pain. I took pain pills for 24 hours because of this horrible pain and haven't had to take one since. This incision hurts 75% less than last time I can bend over, I can stand up without help, I can blow my nose and I can use the bathroom without help! Wahoo that is awesome!

Projects

On Tuesday after my dr's appt when the plan was made for how my pregnancy was going to finish I made it a point to try and get all of my little projects done. McKell and I got her new dresser stained so that we could move her old one into the new babies room. I put away all the baby clothes in the dresser and hung the letters and pictures in the new room. We went to the store and bought diapers, pacifer's and other essentials (nursing pads etc..). I know that might be TMI for some of you but it's the truth those of you who have nursed know what I am talking about.

The plan for the next week began last night. I had to go an have a non stress test at L & D where you sit there for an hour while monitoring you and the baby. It went well which means I get to do it again on Tuesday if that one goes well then I will be delivered on Thursday at 38 wks. If it doesn't go well then he will deliver me on Tuesday.
This is my sweet daughter who decided to see if she could fit in the lazy susan in my kitchen. As you can see she did a pretty good job. It started to make her nervous because she couldn't figure how to get out. She is always finding something to get into.

Redemption!!

Okay so now I don't feel so bad about the day's adventures. I got peaches, pears, peppers and cucumbers with my yard sale money which we ended up $17 ahead on. But the best news is why BJ was outside at the yard sale I put up our log bed and mattress on KSL and we just sold it all for $280. So overall I am feeling really good about the whole day. I guess I just had to complain for it to work. PS I only paid $ 200 for the log bed so I am feeling pretty good about it.

Yard Sale

BJ and I once again decided that we would try this yard sale thing once again. We tried it in june and I think we made $40. Wahoo! My family members are always telling me how much money they make when they do yard sales. Well BJ and I put in ad in the paper for $39 and have only made $30 so far today so we are still out $9. Pretty pathetic huh! I don't know if our crap is just crap and not someone else's treasure or what. Either way after today it is all going to the DI.

Irrigation day

McKell and Steve had so much fun playing in the irrigation at Gma McGlones house. They played in it for hours. McKell's diaper finally got so full of water and sand that it started ripping so we took it off and just let her play.

Saturday was probably one of the first days in weeks that I actually got to sit outside for any real length of time. It was nice and hot.

A week ago Saturday Rhett, Britney and Ava went up American Fork Canyon for some dutch oven. I have to say the chicken and the rolls were excellent thanks to the Walker family. McKell found some left over ash and smeared it all over her face. She looked like a chimney sweep. BJ and I were excited that she liked Ava and even told us when she had spit up and needed to have it wiped off. It gave us hope that maybe she will do well with her little sister as well .

PS... BJ hates what he calls the freaky countdown clock on the side of our page. I tried to get him to understand it was the only one I could make work. Sorry if it is feaky to anyone else.

Kennidee Watch...

Today I had a Dr's appt and my blood pressure was a little high. High enough the nurse took it twice because she didn't want to believe the first one. The doctor came in and decided that I get to do another 24 urine. Wahoo! Do I love to have to stay close to home and pee in a hat, pour it into a jug and put it in the fridge. As they say "these are a few of my favorite things". Really it is a pain anyone who has been pregnant knows that pregnant women go pee all night. Especially me because that is when the water drains off of me. So to have to pee in the hat, walk downstairs and pour it in the jug. Doing this in the middle of the night is a pain in the rump. The doctor told me he needs me to do even more of nothing for at least 2 weeks (I guess that means I shouldn't have vacuumed this morning). He told me he thinks I am starting the beginning of the end. Well we will see. I may have a new baby in 2 weeks and but hopefully I will last longer. I am hoping for the second so that I can have at least until Halloween before going back to work. I did go and buy crib sheets today after my appt just in case and finished the babies quilt. My awesome mother in law is coming tomorrow to finish painting the babies room and hopefully BJ and I will get that put together sometime this weekend and no worries there will be lots of me having my feet up.

Over the weekend McKell finally decided that she likes her sunglasses. She especially likes to pose with them. I love it when she puts them on because she has a 50% chance of putting them on right as you can see in the picture below. She is getting to have such a fun personality!

Update...

So it is now official I have been off work for one whole week now. My blood pressure went down initially but now it holding steady in the mid range. I finished my last blanket I had to crochet last night and I also finished reading the newest installment in the twilight saga. The book was fantastic!! I would recommend it to anyone who has read the other books otherwise it would be kind of confusing. It took me about 36 hours to read it. I unfortunately am now out of books and projects to do. No worries Aunt Jackie (BJ's aunt) has offered to give me a box full of books to read.
BJ's last day of school was today and he is excited that school is finally out for summer. Too bad that his first contract day for the high school is on Tuesday. He is excited to be going back to school. He has alot of new responsibilities this year. He is the sophomore advisor, he is doing a class that is focused on service and we will be having a new baby in the next 8 weeks.
